Quality Inspector
Position summary:
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process, compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products
Essential job functions:
Interprets complex engineering drawings, confers with management and engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Selects products for inspection validation at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities, such as dimensions, diameters, profiles, true position, cosmetic appearance, obvious defects.
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, Outside Processes, APQP, Industry Specifications.
Deploy continuous improvement activities and drive error-proofing for all processes.
Work in and around CNC Lathes, CNC Mill’s, Grinders, and general Tool Room equipment.

Machine Operator
Position summary:
Operates CNC machine or machining centers to perform various functions, such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic workpieces, utilizing knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machinability of materials, and shop math.
Essential job functions:
· Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished workpiece.
· Attaches fixture to machine bed and positions and secures workpiece in fixture according to setup instructions, using clamps, bolts, hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments, such as ruler and caliper.
· Assembles cutting tools in toolholders and positions toolholders in machine spindles as specified, using hand tools, or inserts cutting tools in specified machine magazines.
· Enters commands to retrieve preprogrammed machine instructions from data base.
· Manipulates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine.
· Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
· Changes cutting tools and location of workpiece during machining process as specified in setup instructions.
· Measures workpiece for conformance to specification, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
· Cleans machine, tooling, and parts.
· Performs machine maintenance.
· Notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
· Inspects and measures parts to maintain statistical process control charts.

Machine Operator - Setup
Position summary:
Operates CNC machine or machining centers to perform various functions, such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic workpieces, utilizing knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machinability of materials, and shop math.
Essential job functions:
Able to read and interpret work orders.
Able to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and other specifications.
Candidates must be proficient in the set-up and operation of CNC milling and or turning centers.
Able to operate all machine shop equipment with minimum instruction.
Able to inspect parts, visually and dimensionally to assure conformance to print requirements.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience.
